Meet the Expert: Angela Mount
Meet our wine expert; Angela Mount, probably most famous for having her taste buds insured for £10million when she was head of the wine buying team at Somerfield supermarkets, Angela has a refreshingly down to earth and no-nonsense approach to wine and is passionate about trying to help wine drinkers discover a little more about wine, and debunk a lot of myths!
Angela is a busy working mum of 3, so she understands how it can be difficult, daunting and time consuming trying to select a wine. She provides simple guidance, lots of useful tips, and aims to help you discover wine in a non-stuffy way!
"Choosing and enjoying wine should be fun!" she says, "...but so many people are either confused or put off by a sea of bottles that they just don't understand. My job is to make buying great wine a little more simple and hassle-free."
Angela has worked with top producers all over the world, selecting and blending wines, and judges at all the major wine competitions, including Decanter and International Wine Challenge.
She is a frequent presenter on radio and at live food and wine shows and has become known for her knack of pairing just the right wine with the right food, having worked alongside top celebrity chefs such as Gordon Ramsay and James Martin at events such as the Good Food Show.
