Taittinger Brut Prestige Rosé gets its stunningly beautiful colour from the addition of still red wine from the great Champagne vineyards of Ambonnay and Bouzy, this ‘l’addition’ method gives a lively depth and vibrancy to the colour as well as consistency and quality. Three years ageing on the lees gives a complexity and roundness to the wine that has lifted aromas of soft red fruit, including raspberry and wild strawberry. It has a smooth, elegant and fruity palate with crisp acidity and a long finish.
Champagne Taittinger’s origins date back to 1734 with the founding of the original House by Jacques Fourneaux. The Taittinger link was established in 1931 when Pierre Taittinger acquired the House. Pierre had spent much time in the Champagne region when serving in the 1st World War. He was stationed at the Château de la Marquetterie, fell in love with the remarkable property and its vineyards and eventually purchased the company. Today, the Reims based House remains owned and actively managed by the family.
